News Advisory:
With the theme "Space-The Way Ahead" top military and commercial leaders will address the contributions of space to the combat environment and current challenges affecting the military, civilian and commercial space partnership at the annual Air Force Association National Symposium on Space, Nov. 17.
In the 21st century, space capabilities are truly joint in nature because they serve all warfighters. Space provides for precise navigation and timing, missile warning, surveillance, space control, weather tracking and communications. In fact, space assets are essential to all military operations and to the nation. Airmen, soldiers, sailors and Marines in the field require this critical information to do their jobs and to stay ahead of the enemy.
The Air Force Ball will occur on Friday evening with proceeds going to support education initiatives at both local and national levels.
