News Advisory:
The Washington, D.C. premiere of a new film by Rob McGann -- American Zeitgeist: Crisis & Conscience in an Age of Terror will be held at the National Press Club on Thursday, Nov. 2. The award-winning documentary takes an historical look at the underlying fractures of the War on Terrorism from 1979 to the present. The film places the intended and unintended consequences of America's actions into sharp relief, with a balanced narrative that captures the cultural and political "spirit of the times."
Sponsored in part by the New America Foundation, the film will be immediately followed by a panel discussion featuring New America Foundation fellow Peter Bergen and William Rosenau, a terrorism expert from Rand Corp.

"...an important film about America and for America, one that counters the country's partisan, bi-fractural politics and media." -- openDemocracy
"Moving beyond partisan politics, director Rob McGann's essential new film takes advantage of an exemplary range of commentators to set out the path that led from the mountains of Cold War-era Afghanistan to the World Trade Center and the ensuing high-stakes espionage now occurring throughout the world. The scope of this documentary is striking..." -- Vancouver International Film Festival
