WASHINGTON, Nov. 3 /U.S. Newswire/ -- What do the Denver Post, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Arizona Republic, and the Las Vegas Review Journal all have in common? They all agree that the minimum wage ballot initiatives in their respective states are bad policy and have urged voters to reject them. Threats to privacy, costly record keeping for businesses, and dangerous annual increases cemented in state constitutions are among the reasons that over 40 newspaper editorial boards from six states are encouraging voters to say no to their wage hike measures on election day.

"The wage hike initiatives in these six states are among the most reckless economic policies ever proposed," said National Restaurant Association Vice President for State Relations Tom Foulkes. "The fact that so many editorial boards across the ideological spectrum agree that they should be rejected speaks volumes."

Newspaper editorials from the six states against ballot questions to raise the minimum wage include the following:

Ohio - Editorials against Issue 2 include Columbus Dispatch, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Cincinnati Post, Youngstown Vindicator, Dayton Daily News, Canton Repository, Warren Tribune, Findlay Courier, The News-Herald (Lake County), Crain's Cleveland Business, The Toledo Blade, The Wall Street Journal, Steubenville Herald-Star, and Lima News.

Colorado - Editorials against Amendment 42 include Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, Ft. Collins Coloradoan, Boulder Daily Camera, Colorado Springs Gazette, Pueblo Chieftain, Durango Herald, Grand Junction Sentinel, Greeley Tribune, Ft. Morgan Times, and Longmont Times-Call

Arizona - Editorials against Proposition 202 include Arizona Republic, East Valley Tribune, The Yuma Sun, The Daily Record, Inside Tucson Business, and Arizona Daily Wildcat

Montana - Editorials against Initiative 151 include Great Falls Tribune, Billings Gazette, Helena Independent Record, and Montana Standard.

Nevada - Editorials against Question 6 include Las Vegas Review-Journal, Reno Gazette-Journal and Ely Times.
